How to reach Hampi

← Hampi

Hampi has no railway station or airport of its own: buses and trains arrive at Hosapete (Hospet), 13 km west, and a local bus covers the rest in about half an hour. The way most people come is an overnight sleeper bus or the Hampi Express from Bengaluru; from Goa and Gokarna there are night buses too.

Overnight sleeper to Hosapete

The way most people actually come: board in Bengaluru in the evening, sleep through the 289 km and step out among the boulders in the morning. Around forty services a night, so the seat is rarely the problem.
