Khatkhate

A festive stew of five or more vegetables in coconut and tirphal, a Goan pepper that tastes of citrus and numbs slightly. Cooked for temple feasts and Hindu Goan weddings, never in a hurry.
How it's eaten
With plain rice; the tirphal is the whole point, so do not pick it out.
