Krishna temples in Bangalore

Bangalore has two Krishna temples in this guide, and they are very different. ISKCON on Hare Krishna Hill in Rajajinagar is a large hilltop complex known for kirtan, group chanting to drums; the Shree Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Indiranagar is a small neighbourhood temple where Krishna is worshipped alongside Narasimha and Ganesha. Entry to ISKCON is free.

Two temples, two scales
ISKCON Bangalore, Rajajinagar
ISKCON Bangalore is the Sri Radha Krishna temple on Hare Krishna Hill. Come for kirtan, group chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra with drums, and for the 108-step labyrinth that devotees walk while chanting. The temple suggests one to two hours. It is not the same as ISKCON's second Bangalore temple on Vaikuntha Hill, Kanakapura Road, which keeps its own hours.
Shree Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Indiranagar
A tiny temple in central Indiranagar. The main deity is Narasimha, the man-lion form of Vishnu; Krishna and Ganesha are worshipped here too. There is a courtyard where people sit and talk; it is a short stop rather than a destination of its own.
ISKCON darshan hours and dress
Darshan (seeing the deities) at Hare Krishna Hill runs to two schedules, according to the temple's site:
- Weekdays: 4:30–5:20, 7:15–13:15 and 16:15–20:20.
- Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 4:30–5:20, then 7:15–20:20 without a midday break.
On a weekday the doors are shut between 13:15 and 16:15, so a weekend is easier to fit into a day. Entry is free; parking and the footwear stand carry nominal charges. The temple asks for formal or traditional clothes and no shorts or casual wear.
Krishna's festivals at ISKCON Bangalore
ISKCON Bangalore lists Deepotsava from 26 October to 24 November 2026, the month of Kartika, which recalls the Damodara story (in tradition, the child Krishna bound to a mortar by his mother). Govardhana Puja, for Krishna lifting Govardhan Hill, falls on 10 November 2026.
