Vrindavan

How to reach Vrindavan

← Vrindavan

By car on the Yamuna Expressway

The Vrindavan exit comes before the Mathura one, so the car brings you straight to the outer ring of the town, and no further, because the centre is closed to it.

Best option

Train to Mathura Junction, then 12 km

Vrindavan has no working station, so every railway route ends at Mathura Junction and the last twelve kilometres are covered on the road.

Direct buses from Delhi

More than a hundred departures a day, ordinary and AC sleeper alike; the road is only three to four hours, so most people travel by daylight.

At weekends and on festivals the town seizes up and cars are turned back: park outside and continue by e-rickshaw or on foot.
