How to reach Mussoorie

Bus up from Dehradun

Mussoorie has no station and no airport: everything routes through Dehradun, and the last 33–35 km are hairpins. Buses leave from beside the Dehradun railway station about once an hour.

Taxi up the hill

The sensible choice with luggage or with children: one car, no changes, and the driver can stop at the viewpoints on the way up.

Rail as far as Dehradun

No line comes up the hill, so the train part of the journey ends in Dehradun: Vande Bharat from Delhi in about 4 h 45, and the climb after that.
