Indian food

Nadan chaya

Also called: Nadan chaya, Надан чая, Masala tea, Chaya

Kerala tea: strong, very sweet, poured back and forth between two glasses from a height until it foams. In the hills it is made from leaf picked on the slope you can see from the counter.

How it's eaten

Ask for it "less sweet" only if you mean it: the default is very sweet and that is the recipe.

Where to try it

Munnar

The leaf comes off the slope in front of you; this is the one place where "local tea" is a statement of fact.
