Ratneshwar Mahadev
A small 19th-century Shiva temple standing at the waterline below Manikarnika, tilted about nine degrees (a steeper lean than the tower at Pisa, as Outlook Traveller has pointed out). It was built so low that the sanctum spends much of the year underwater; the British surveyor James Prinsep was already sketching it submerged in the early 1800s. Getting inside is generally not possible, and that is not the point. Take a boat in the early morning, when low light catches the leaning shikhara (the tower over the sanctum) and the whole silhouette finally makes sense.
Varanasi's strangest silhouette: a temple leaning harder than Pisa and half-drowned
