Aurwatand Waterfall

← Varanasi

AreaChandauli district (~75 km)

A fall of roughly 200 feet and a canyon on the Karmanasa river in Chandauli, twenty to thirty minutes' drive beyond Rajdari and Devdari, which is precisely why nearly everyone turns back before reaching it. Outlook Traveller has called it the hidden gem of the district; caves near the water hold prehistoric rock paintings, and the district has been building basic eco-tourism facilities since 2023. The flow is strongest in the monsoon and early winter. Pair it with Chandraprabha and you have a full day of gorges and falling water with almost nobody around.

The waterfall most Varanasi locals have not seen: canyon, rock art, almost no one
