Triveni Museum
A state museum on the Shipra at Triveni, laid out as three galleries (Shaiva, Vaishnava and Shakta, after the traditions of Shiva, Vishnu and the Goddess), which is an unusually clear way to explain why one city holds so many different kinds of shrine. Carved sculpture, ancient coins, inscriptions, manuscripts and objects from ancient and medieval Malwa fill them out. Open roughly 8:00 to 22:00, closed Tuesdays and on government holidays; a small ticket for Indian visitors and a much higher one for foreigners, photography allowed without flash or tripod. Forty-five minutes is enough, and Mangalnath and the Navagraha temple sit next door.
Forty-five minutes that make the whole temple round legible; do it first, not last
