Tumburu Theertham

A waterfall deep in the Seshachalam forest, and for most of the year simply out of reach. The route beyond Papavinasanam is a hard seven kilometres over stony ground, with smaller falls along the way, and it normally opens on a single day: Phalguna Pournami, the full moon in March. TTD and forest staff man the path, permission from the TTD forest department is required, plastic bottles are not allowed, and participation is limited by age and fitness. Check the date TTD announces for the year, and walk it with a group rather than alone.
