Lakshman Jhula Market

One long strip of shopping that starts at the bridge and climbs into Tapovan. Hundreds of stalls and one-room shops sell singing bowls that hum when a mallet is run round the rim, rudraksha and tulsi malas, gemstones, incense and essential oils, yoga wear and props, handmade-paper journals, Tibetan silver and carved deities: practically the whole Rishikesh souvenir list within a few hundred metres. Bargaining is expected and unhurried. The strip wakes up in late afternoon and runs best into the evening.
