How to reach Pushkar

Every railway route to Pushkar ends at Ajmer: the branch to Pushkar Terminus formally exists but carries almost no passenger trains.

Best option

The only direct link with Delhi: private AC and non-AC sleepers cover the 430 km overnight and drop you in Pushkar itself, without the Ajmer change.

A straightforward highway run and the usual link in a Rajasthan itinerary; Jaipur is also the real air gateway, 135 km out.

At the ghats flowers are pressed into your hands, then a "donation" of a thousand rupees is demanded. Do not take them.
