Mulshi Lake
The backwaters of a century-old dam, spread wide between Sahyadri ridges and paddy country about forty-five kilometres west by way of Paud. During and after the monsoon the whole basin goes intensely green, mist sits on the water and Koraigad fort shows across it; village-style thalis, several small dishes on one platter, are served at the roadside dhabas and resorts around the rim. There is no gate and no single viewpoint - people simply pull over along the rim road, and much of the shoreline is private or utility land, so stick to the obvious spots. Usually driven as a loop with Tamhini Ghat.
