How to reach Pune

By train from Mumbai

The Mumbai line is the reason most people never think about flying here: trains leave CSMT all day and climb the Western Ghats on the way. Pune Junction is right in the city.

Shivneri coaches and night sleepers

MSRTC Shivneri leaves Mumbai every 30–60 minutes: Volvo air-conditioned, and an electric e-Shivneri on some runs. Long-distance sleepers arrive from Goa, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Pune Airport (PNQ), Lohegaon

A small airport with a new terminal, ten kilometres from the centre. Mostly domestic flights; from abroad people usually land in Mumbai and take the train.
