Another landmark temple in Naggar is Tripura Sundari, dedicated to the goddess. It's a large deodar-wood pagoda in the traditional Himalayan style: three tiers tapering up to a circular roof, a shape perfectly suited to shedding heavy snow. The lower tiers are divided by squat carved pillars.

The temple is dated to around the 11th century (its present form to roughly the 15th). It's an active temple and part of the valley's living culture, hosting local festivals.
