Join the all-night crowd at the hill temple of Cheluvanarayana Swamy on the one night of the year the diamond crown is placed on the deity and carried through the streets before dawn.

Mahamastakabhisheka, Shravanabelagola
Mysuru is the comfortable base for the Mahamastakabhisheka: about 85 km and two hours by road, so an early start puts you on Vindhyagiri before the granite heats up. The next edition is due in 2030.
