Mall Road

Mall Road and the Library Chowk area are the center of town life. Shops, cafes, restaurants, street food, and the main tourist flow are concentrated here. Everything happens all at once: movement, music, hawking, people.

This is a convenient option if you're here for a day or two and want to quickly "sample" the city. The downsides are the same as any city center: noise, crowds, and constant traffic. It's lively and energetic, but not peaceful.
