Kellogg Memorial Church
Every Landour loop walk passes this 1903 neo-Gothic pile of grey stone, pointed arches and stained glass, built in memory of Rev. Dr. Samuel H. Kellogg, the American Presbyterian missionary who wrote a landmark Hindi grammar. The building has an unusual second life: it houses the Landour Language School, which has taught Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit and Garhwali to foreigners for over a century. On a weekday morning you may catch lessons drifting out through the windows, which is a stranger and better souvenir than the photograph.
A 1903 church that has doubled as a Hindi school for foreigners for over a hundred years
