Bhadraj Temple
The temple sits on top of a mountain, and getting there by scooter is an adventure in itself. An hour of wandering through deserted mountains, several wrong turns, a road that shakes the soul out of you, and views that take your breath away.
The temple itself is dedicated to Bal Bhadra (Balarama), Krishna's brother. But the main discovery is outside it. Next to the temple there is a rock on the edge, with a view over an endless valley: 360 degrees of silence and sky.
It's a place to sit in meditation and realize one important thing: sometimes nature is a more understandable and transformative experience of God than any temple. If you are looking for solitude and are ready for a rough ride along the way, this is the place for you.
