Haji Ali Dargah
A white-domed mosque and tomb on an islet five hundred metres offshore, reached by a causeway that the sea covers at high tide, so check the tide table before setting out. The dargah, the tomb-shrine of a Sufi saint, honours Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, and the tradition here goes back to the 15th century; the marble came from Makrana, the same quarry as the Taj Mahal. All faiths are welcome. Dress modestly, avoid Thursday and Friday if you want room to move, and stay for the qawwali, devotional singing, around dusk.
