Global Vipassana Pagoda

A striking golden pagoda on the outskirts of Mumbai, dedicated to Vipassana meditation. The main dome is one of the largest stone domes in the world without any supporting pillars. Entry is free. Note that the meditation hall under the dome is open only to those who have completed a ten-day Vipassana course; everyone else comes for the grounds, the exhibition and the sheer scale of the architecture.
