The cheapest and the most predictable way: the train ignores the traffic on NH12, and the last part of the journey is a river crossing rather than a road.

Taxi from Kolkata

Door to door with no changes and no river, but plan on three and a half to five hours: NH12 is loaded and the old "two and a half hours" never happens.

Buses from Esplanade and from ISKCON

Regular coaches run to Krishnanagar and Nabadwip; on weekends and festivals ISKCON Kolkata puts on direct AC buses from Minto Park, which need booking ahead.
