Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math

A small but highly respected temple a few minutes' walk from ISKCON's main campus. It belongs to another branch of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, the line of Bhakti Dayita Madhava Goswami (lineage: Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati → Bhakti Dayita Madhava Goswami; Bhaktisiddhanta was also Prabhupada's teacher).

Everything here is a bit stricter and more traditional: the Deities are very beautiful (Radha-Govinda, Chaitanya with Nityananda), kirtans are calm and drawn out, the atmosphere is focused.

Many come here specifically to see how the same tradition can look different: next to bright and open ISKCON, this math gives the feeling of a deep, almost familial continuity.
