A converted South Kolkata house on Hindustan Park, and the shelves explain why the city's artistic crowd shops here instead of at a mall: Bengal handloom taken seriously, with the cotton and tant saris of the pioneering Bailou label, kurtas, children's clothes and T-shirts printed with artwork from Tagore's 'Sahaj Path' primer. Small enough to see in half an hour and specific enough to be worth the trip across town. Open daily, 11:00 to 20:00.
