Indo-Portuguese Museum
Five hundred years of Portuguese Kochi, kept in the quiet garden of the Bishop's House. The rooms are small and the pace is slow: silver processional crosses, altarpieces, vestments and teak altars arranged across five sections (Altar, Procession, Treasure, Civil Life and Cathedral). The real surprise waits downstairs, where the basement holds surviving wall remains of Fort Immanuel, the original Portuguese fortification. Closed Mondays, with a lunch break in the middle of the day; the entry fee is modest.
