Indian Naval Maritime Museum
Kochi has been a navy town for a long time, and the navy tells its own story here, near Fort Kochi beach. The thread runs from Indus Valley traders through centuries of sea routes to modern naval operations, carried by ship models, weaponry, missiles and larger exhibits standing outdoors. It is a compact stop rather than a half-day, which makes it easy to fold in alongside St. Francis Church and the beach promenade. Closed Mondays; foreign visitors pay a separate, higher ticket, and cameras cost extra.
