Nehru Bazaar
The old-city market where Jaipur buys its jootis, the flat embroidered leather slippers of Rajasthan, stitched in every colour and stacked into walls of them along the stalls between Ajmeri Gate and New Gate. Around them are textiles, lehengas and everyday ethnic wear. Jootis run roughly ₹300 to ₹2,500 depending on the work, so try several stalls, compare, and bargain politely rather than hard. Evenings are when the lanes come alive; on Sundays parts of the market are quiet or shut.
