Jhalana Leopard Reserve
A dry deciduous forest that begins inside the city limits and holds around forty wild leopards, along with hyenas, desert foxes and a great deal of birdlife. Open-sided Gypsy jeeps run in morning and late-afternoon shifts along fixed tracks; seats cost ₹860 for Indian citizens and ₹1,305 for foreign visitors and should be booked at least a day ahead through the Rajasthan Forest Department portal or an operator. Sightings here are frequent by any standard, though never promised. When Jhalana is full, the newer Amagarh zone next door takes the overflow.
