Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan
The walled cremation ground of the Kachhwaha maharajas, set against the hill below Nahargarh and filled with chhatris, domed marble and sandstone canopies raised over the spot where each ruler was cremated. The cenotaph of Sawai Jai Singh II, who founded Jaipur, carries a twenty-pillared marble dome, and the panels around it hold elephants, battle scenes and mythology worth reading slowly. Entry was about ₹30 in 2025; open roughly 9:30 AM to 5 PM. It stays quiet almost all day.
Royal cenotaphs carved like the palaces, and quiet enough to hear the birds
