Amrapali Museum

Jaipur sells jewellery on every second street, and this two-floor private museum, opened in 2018 by the Amrapali house, is where you learn to read it. Some 4,000 pieces run from heavy tribal anklets and protective amulets to court gold work, laid out in quiet cases with the kind of light no bazaar ever gives. An hour here changes how the shop windows outside look afterwards. Entry is ticketed, and most listings show it closed on Sundays, so the hours are worth checking before you set off.
