Albert Hall Museum
Rajasthan's oldest museum, open since 1887, sits in a building that competes with its own collection: Sir Swinton Jacob's Indo-Saracenic pile of domes, arcades and carved sandstone standing alone in Ram Niwas Garden. Inside, Rajasthani miniatures share the halls with carpets, tribal costumes, musical instruments and an Egyptian mummy. From 1 January 2026 entry is ₹100 for Indians and ₹600 for foreigners, after the state-wide fee revision. After dark the floodlighting turns the facade gold, and that view is a Jaipur classic in its own right.
As much an architectural set piece as a museum, and the best floodlit facade in town
