AreaIsha Yoga Center campus

The Devi temple on campus, consecrated around an eight-foot form of the Divine Feminine that Isha describes as carrying three and a half chakras, and deliberately loud and celebratory where the Dhyanalinga is silent. Fire, drums and camphor: the evening arati is what most visitors plan the day around. Open 6:30 to 13:20 and 16:20 to 20:20, with abhishekam, the ritual bathing of the image, at 7:40, 12:40 and 19:40. The dress code is stricter here than elsewhere on campus: saree or salwar kameez for women, dhoti or full trousers with a shirt for men. Darshan needs no booking; named offerings and the full-moon Purnima ritual do.

The loud half of Isha: evening fire and drums, ten minutes from total silence
