Shilparamam Crafts Village
Eighteen hectares of crafts village right beside Cyber Towers, run by the state since 1992, where artisans come from across India to sell for a season: handloom, ikat, pottery, woodwork, metal, jewellery. Many of them work at the stall while you watch, which changes what you are willing to pay for the finished piece. There is a reconstructed rural museum village, a lake and an amphitheatre with regular folk performances. The craft fairs around Sankranti and the year's end are the fullest. Small entry ticket; the Night Bazaar annexe next door is free and open late.
