Numaish (Nampally Exhibition)

For six weeks a year, from 1 January to mid-February, the Nampally grounds turn into something between a trade fair and a town holiday. The All India Industrial Exhibition has run since 1938 (the 2026 edition was the 85th), and it fills two thousand-odd stalls with handloom, handicrafts, carpets, dry fruits and gadgets, with rides and snack stands threaded between the rows. Gates open around 16:00 and stay open until about 22:30. Small entry ticket. Weekday evenings are walkable, weekends shoulder to shoulder. Outside those six weeks there is nothing here to see.
