Hussain Sagar Lake

In the very center of Hyderabad sprawls an artificial lake created in the sixteenth century. An early-morning walk around it is one of the most meditative strolls in the city.

On the shore stands a palace, and directly in the water stands an enormous Buddha statue, an 18-meter monolith of white granite. It's particularly beautiful at sunset when the lighting comes on.
