Sati Kund
A plain kund a few steps from Daksheswara Mahadev, easy to walk straight past. Tradition going back to Mahabharata-era lore holds it to be the fire pit of Daksha's yagna, where Sati gave up her body, the act that scattered the Shakti Peeths across the subcontinent. There is very little to look at: low walls, water, and the weight of what is said to have happened here. Women in particular come to pray for their husbands' long lives. Always visited together with the temple next door, one straight after the other. Free.
Only makes sense together with Daksheswara next door: one story told across two stops
