EntryFree

The Mansa Devi temple stands on top of Bilwa Parvat in the Shivalik hills. The climb to Mansa Devi is an adventure in itself. The most convenient way is the Udan Khatola cable car, which translates as "Flying Chariot." The cabins are open, so you feel the rush of air, the continuous city noise rises from below, and the panorama of Haridwar gradually unfolds beneath you. From this vantage point, you can see the entire center: where the river flows, where the main ghats are located, how streets and bridges stretch.

Practical info:

  • Cable car (Udan Khatola): buy the round-trip ticket at the base station.
  • On weekends, holidays, and pilgrimage dates, queues can be very long; arrive early morning to avoid waiting hours.
