Vibhuti Falls
Water comes down about seventy feet in steps over limestone ledges here, filling a chain of clear pools at the bottom. From the gate (around Rs 20 with parking), a forest path of a kilometre and a half drops to the falls, and in season the pools are swimmable, with a lifeguard usually on duty. October to January is the window: the flow is still strong and the trail has dried out. After rain leeches are common, so a little salt in the pocket helps, and the approach can close at the height of the monsoon. Forty-two kilometres from Gokarna, nine from Yana.
