Butterfly Park, Sector 26
Seven acres planted the other way round: instead of choosing flowers that look well, the forest department chose the host and nectar plants that particular butterflies need, and let the insects decide. Around 35 species now work the paths (Blue Mormon, Common Grass Yellow, Chocolate Pansy), with boards along the way explaining the stages from egg to wing. It faces the engineering college in Sector 26, and outside the neighbourhood hardly anyone knows it is there. Free, open 9 am to 5 pm, closed Mondays; March to October is the season.
A park planted for insects rather than for looks, and hardly anyone knows it
