The Browser
Three things share one room on Madhya Marg: a bookshop, a lending library and a small publisher, all running since 1995. Nothing here is stacked by sales rank: the shelves are hand-picked, strongest on fiction, children's books and large illustrated volumes, and the interior is closer to somebody's reading room than to a retail floor. Members come to borrow, everyone else comes to stand and read, and neither is hurried along. The quiet, personal counterpart to the Sector 17 giants.
Part shop, part library, part publisher: arguably the coziest independent in town
